The benefits of Intermittent Fasting include:

Weight loss - mainly due to an overall calorie deficit for the week, but also because by fasting only on certain days, you keep your body guessing about how much food it will get each day. If you were to eat restricted calories every day, your body would adjust it's metabolic rate and begin to conserve energy believing it needed to prepare for a state of famine.

Lower insulin levels – due to our culture of constant grazing, our bodies have to constantly produce insulin to move excess carbohydrates and sugar from our bloodstream. This leads to insulin resistance (basically when our cells say they can't accept any more). Insulin resistance leads to weight gain and increased difficulty to lose weight. Fasting allows our body to produce lower insulin levels over the coarse of the day which helps to facilitate fat burning.

Less adaptive thermogenesis – by restricting calories only on some days, your body burns calories. As mentioned above, by mixing up your days of eating normal calories and fasting, you will keep your body guessing and burning calories.

Improved longevity - by not constantly barraging your body with food (a lot of which is probably not great food either) that it has to work hard to breakdown, utilise, store or eliminate, you give your body more time to regenerate your cells. When you wake up: Lukewarm water with a splash of fresh lemon juice.

9am - Braniac - Spinach, Cucumber, Lemon, Ginger, Apple.

11 am - Creamy Thai soup with basil - Carrots, onions, ginger, salt and pepper, peanut butter, coconut milk , hot sauce. 

1 pm -  Cosmic Coco- Coconut water, blueberry, lychee, lemon., mint.

3 pm -  Romesco soup with chickpeas - Red bell peppers, almonds, almond milk,  ginger, tomatoes, vinegar, harissa, paprika, black pepper, salt, chickpeas. 

5 pm -  Earth Nectar - Water melon, apple , lemon , turmeric .

7pm - Kaboocha Congee - Squash, coconut milk, brown rice, pumpkin seeds. onions, lemon juice, salt , pepper, cayenne, nutmeg, cinnamon, all spice.


Day 2

When you wake up: Lukewarm water with a splash of fresh lemon juice.

 9 am.: Dynamo Green Juice- A dark green juice with spinach, cucumbers, rockets, apple, courgette, lemon.

11am.: Butternut Squash Soup- Butternut, Onions, Carrots, black pepper, salt, water.

1 pm.:Cold Crusher- Apple , Carrots, Turmeric, Lemon, Ginger.

3pm.: New Red Lentils with Vegetables Red Lentils, Pumpkin, Coconut milk, Cauliflower, Green Beans Onions, Ginger, Tomato, cuury powder, cumin powder, lime juice, maple syrup.

5pm.Earth Nectar- Water melon, apple , lemon , turmeric .

7pm.: Leek and Celery Soup - This Soup Contains Leeks, Celery Root, Lemon, Onions, Olive Oil.

Day 3

When you wake up:Lukewarm water with a splash of fresh lemon juice.

9 am. Spa day- Honey dew. cucumber, coconut water, lemon.

11am.:Cauliflower Potato Chowder-This Soup Contains Cauliflower, Potatoes, Onions, Celery, Curry Powder, Rosemary, Black Pepper, Coconut Milk, Lemon.

1pm.:Citrus 3- Grapefruit, Orange, Mint.

3pm.:Kalefornia - Kale, Sweet Potato, Onions, ginger, parsley. 

5pm.:Bhakti Ayurveda - Juice Contains Alovera, Coconut Water, Cucumbers, Apple, Pineapple, Mint, Brain Tonic, Lemon. WITH ADDED TRIPHALA.

7pm.:  Lentil me entertain- Red lentils, Mushrooms, Carrots, Spring onions, carrots, cumin.

Day 4

9am - Turmeric root shot -  Turmeric Root, Ginger, Indian Gooseberries, Orange

11am - Pure Green Juice- Spinach, Cucumbers, parsley, Courgettes, Fennel, Apple. 

1pm - Finger Millet Cookie - organic Ragi flour, almond flour, coconut sugar and cold pressed coconut oil.

3pm - Quinoa and Pomegranate Salad- Quinoa, Pomegranate, Red radish, Cashews, Chives Parsley, Coriander, Chickpeas, Mesculin

Dressing- Lemon, salt, Dijon mustard, OLive oil, 

5pm -Whole apple.

7pm - Tempeh Rendang Curry- Rendang sauce, coconut milk, Tempeh, butternut squash, broccoli, peas.

Day 5

9am - Turmeric root shot - Turmeric Root, Ginger, Indian Gooseberries, Orange

11am- Granola with Almond Mylk -  Whole grain organic oats, cocoa powder, vegan chocochips, almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, organic agave syrup, coconut oil and dates. 

1pm - Carrot sticks.
